- it was Upper Deck's 2nd year in the business. What I didn't get was for the longest time in the season, you had to piece together from the box a set from the 36 packs per box, 15 cards per pack (MSRP: $0.99). A box then had 480 cards, so you would have to spend at least $72 to then make a $40 set - and hope you could make a set. Als,o each pack included a holographic team logo sticker. There is one for each of the 26 MLB teams, each is a 2 1/2" square with rounded corners. Sold separately often as a set between $6 to 15.

The 1990 Upper Deck set contains 800 cards, issued in 2 series: Low Series (1-700) & High Series (701-800). High Series packs contained a mixture of low-high-numbered cards. The card fronts are non-glossy have a color player photograph with white borders. The card backs have a color player photograph, recent player stats, & an anti-counterfeiting holograph.
